Summer is coming and the heat rash comes with it – said no one ever! But they should have, we ought to be warned about how our skin will go through the most during summer. Imagine having a summer body and rough skin, definitely not a good look if I do say so myself. So here is a list of things that you can do to keep that skin glowing:
1. Drink water
Drinking water can clear up your skin and help you look more fresh and glowing. Commit to drinking at least 2litres of water daily and if plain water bores you try to spice it up with cucumber slices or fruit pieces or rose. Carry a water bottle with you wherever you go.
2. Cleanse your face after a long day
Don’t ever go to bed with your face made up, wash away the day or use face wipes and allow your skin time to breath. Moisturise
3. Avoid the use of soap on your face
To avoid breaks in your skin try to avoid using soap on your face. Try using DIY face masks using products available at home like honey, turmeric, aloe vera, banana peel, coconut or soap specifically designated only for the face.
4. Use sunscreen
I know someone told you sunscreen is for the melanin-less privileged but I’m here to tell you it’s a lie! Apply it.
5. Get at least 6 hours of sleep
If you sleep better it means you worry less and no worries = no wrinkles. Enough said
6. Do what works for you
Using pricey products does not ensure you perfect skin, and also what worked for your friend might not work for you. Find out what skincare routine or products work for you and stick to them!
